Description
Hammerl Austria Mietwäsche (rental linen), a subsidiary of the long-established Austrian family-owned Hammerl Group (Hammerl TextilCare), announced the opening of its newest high tech washing plant in Hagenbrunn on 21 October 2026, creating 120 new jobs.
The facility is billed as Europe’s most energy efficient laundromat and will be powered by a 640 kWp photovoltaic system with an 840 kWh battery, producing roughly 45 % of its electricity autonomously. The plant’s automation reduces manual lifting and eliminates RFID tags to ease recycling. All new positions will be staffed at the Hagenbrunn site.
The company operates professional textile cleaning and rental linen services for hotels, restaurants and businesses in Vienna and Lower Austria.
