Description

Groz-Beckert, a German textile machinery and tools manufacturer headquartered in Albstadt, announced plans to cut 120 jobs across its operations in Albstadt. The restructuring is driven by persistently weak global textile demand, increased competition from China, and shifting investments towards lower-cost regions.

These market pressures have forced the company to realign its production capacity with current needs. The job cuts are expected to be implemented by the end of 2027, with the company aiming for a socially responsible transition.

The company employs around 8,800 people worldwide, including approximately 2,000 in Albstadt.

In 2025, an initial round of job cuts affected 250 employees in Albstadt: Groz-Beckert 2025 - DE.
