Description
DNB, Norway’s largest bank, announced around 350 full-time equivalent job reductions in Norway within a wider 400-FTE restructuring of its Technology & Services division, including Riga. The cuts are due by the end of 2026.
DNB attributes the restructuring to simpler processes and AI-driven efficiency gains in customer checks, technology development and coding. Severance packages will be offered. Finansforbundet criticised the timetable and warned that AI gains need not mean job losses; Econa called for close dialogue with employee representatives.
An earlier internal restructuring involved around 100 job reductions in the same division in 2025 DNB 2025 - NO.
