Description

Hübner-H Gumi-és Műanyagipari Kft., a German-owned Hungarian manufacturer of rubber and plastic components for the vehicle industry, announced the expansion of its Nyíregyháza production plant in Szabolcs county. The expansion is set to create 125 new positions, 60 of which has already been filled as the plant ramps up capacity.

The investment cost is €3.4 billion. The government provides one-fourth of the investment cost as a non-refundable grant. The development began in August 2016 and is expected to conclude by the end of 2023.

The facility will be equipped with a new production hall, as well as world-class machinery and an upgraded IT infrastructure, boosting product quality and productivity. The project aims to strengthen Hübner-H’s 70–80 % market share in the production of accordions for road and rail vehicles.
