Description

German medical diagnostics company Euroimmun based in Lübeck is restructuring its operations, and announced that it will cut up to 550 jobs across its facilities in Lübeck, Dassow and Selmsdorf.

The restructuring involves streamlining organisational structures, improving efficiency and implementing cost-saving measures in response to changing market conditions.

The IGBCE trade union and employee representatives are involved in ongoing negotiations with the company and have criticised the reduction.

Euroimmun employs around 2.000 people in and around Lübeck.

The first round of dismissals was announced in November 2025, affecting 150 positions: Euroimmun Medizinische Labordiagnostika 2025 - DE.

Updated, 29/09/2026 In September 2026 Euroimmun announced that with around 400 employees having already left through voluntary agreements, further 143 positions are now set to be eliminated through dismissals by the end of the year.

In total around 700 jobs were cut in and around Lübeck in the last year. Euroimmun currently employs around 1,705 employees in and around Lübeck.
