Description

Quantum Systems, a German defense technology start-up, announced that 34 autonomous drone systems will be assembled in Romania as part of a 31.4 EUR million contract with the Romanian Ministry of Defense. The project is expected to create 150 new jobs by the end of 2027 at the new plant in Brasov (Brasov County). The plant will become a key manufacturing and operational hub within the European production network, creating exciting opportunities for professionals who want to contribute to cutting-edge defense and autonomous technology programs.

The procurement reflects Romania’s effort to modernize its armed forces and secure autonomous surveillance capabilities that are already used by Ukraine, NATO, and other international partners. By opening the new plant, Quantum Systems is expanding its operations into Eastern Europe while supporting regional defense industry growth.
