Description
Orgapharm, a French fine-chemistry company, is being liquidated, rendering 110 employees in its headquarters in Pithiviers (Loiret). In an attempt to save the company, it had already dismissed more than 40 workers in an earlier restructuring at Pithiviers. The remaining of the job cuts will take place until the end of December, while a potential takeover is possible.
The liquidation follows a series of financial difficulties, including the loss of key clients and increased competition from Asian countries, leading to an unsustainable business model.
Representatives of the trade union CFE-CGC are engaged in discussions with the tribunal and management regarding the liquidation process.
Prior to the liquidation, Orgapharm employed 110 staff members.
