European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Stokrotka, a Polish grocery retailer, is expanding its operations and plans to open dozens of new stores by the end of 2026. The company employs around 12,000 people and is recruiting for approximately 400 positions across Poland.
The recruitment drive is primary linked to business growth, store expansion and investments in logistics and technology. The company reported improved financial performance and increased demand for staff to support its development plans. New jobs are being created for cashiers, sales assistants, warehouse workers, drivers and managers. Recruitment supports both new stores and logistics operations, including a recently opened distribution facility near Gdańsk. Stokrotka already operates 974 stores across Poland.
A collective dispute between NSZZ Solidarność and the company has been ongoing for two years. The union claims stores face chronic staff shortages and is calling for higher staffing levels, while the company states that employment levels are regularly reviewed.
