Description
Booksy, a Polish technology startup operating in the beauty and wellness sector, announced in September a reduction of roughly 200 positions, about 20% of its workforce, across all markets where it operates, including Poland, the United States, and Spain.
The layoffs are part of an AI-first transformation strategy aimed at simplifying organizational structures and focusing on core markets and self-service tools. This internal restructuring is expected to streamline teams for faster deployment of artificial intelligence solutions, without affecting ongoing hiring of new specialists in AI roles.
The restructuring was announced publicly by the company’s management.
Booksy previously carried out significant job reductions in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It serves more than 200,000 businesses globally, with its largest markets including the United States, Poland and Spain. The company remains profitable.
