European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Indorama Ventures, a multinational chemical group, announced the closure of its production site in Steinfort, Luxembourg, on end of June 2026. The decision will eliminate roughly 100 industrial jobs at this facility.
The workforce affected consists mainly of plant operators and support staff employed at the site. The shutdown reflects a strategic realignment following heavy dependence on a single client and broader market pressures.
Trade unions OGBL and LCGB have have requested urgent meetings with the Luxembourg Ministers of Economy and Labour to explore job preservation options. All layoffs will occur in Steinfort; they are collective dismissals with no other measures reported.
Indorama Ventures is a multinational group with an annual turnover of nearly €12 billion and production sites in over 30 countries. The Steinfort site is one of its European facilities.
