Description
Jēkabpils autobusu parks, a Latvian bus operator, planned to dismiss 101 employees by 8 July 2022 after losing the tender to operate regional services covering Jēkabpils, Preiļi and Līvāni.
Tukuma auto took over these services on 1 July. Jēkabpils autobusu parks retained its city and non-scheduled services, bus station operations and repair activities.
Most dismissed drivers moved to Tukuma auto to continue operating regional services. The new operator also rented premises from Jēkabpils autobusu parks, which planned to auction the buses previously used on regional routes.
