Description
ELVO – Hellenic Vehicle Industries (2020), a Greek defence manufacturer, announced the creation of approximately 300 new jobs at its industrial complex in Sindos, Thessaloniki, as part of a €40 million business expansion. The new positions will mainly concern specialised engineers, technicians and production and operational staff. The investment will modernise and increase ELVO's existing military vehicle production capacity while establishing capabilities in additional defence systems and technologies, including unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and drones. Recruitment for the new positions has already begun and implementation of the investment is underway in phases. The programme builds on more than €20 million already invested by owner SK Group in restructuring the company, upgrading its facilities and improving production processes. ELVO's Sindos industrial complex covers approximately 273,000 square metres and includes production, research and development, testing and storage facilities.
