Description

Cersanit S.A., a Polish ceramic manufacturer headquartered in Kielce, announced the dismissal of 487 employees across its production plants.

The cuts will affect factories located in Krasnystaw, Starachowice, Opoczno, Radom and Wałbrzych, spreading from August to November 2026.

The decision follows sharply rising energy and raw-material costs, disruptions caused by the Ukraine war and a sustained drop in demand for ceramics. Consequently, management has chosen to reduce staffing levels and concentrate production on its most efficient machine park.

Cersanit currently employs about 5,500 people.
