Description
Barceló Hotel Group has opened Palacio San Juan, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, the first five-star hotel in the city of Murcia, following the comprehensive restoration of the historic Palacio de Floridablanca and expected to create around 100 new jobs.
The new luxury property features 70 rooms and suites, a rooftop terrace with a swimming pool and several gastronomic venues. The hotel also places a strong emphasis on the local economy, with an estimated 80% of suppliers sourced locally, including 22% from kilometre-zero producers, reinforcing its commitment to regional businesses and sustainable procurement.
The opening strengthens Barceló’s presence in the area and aims to position Murcia as a destination for high-end cultural and gastro-nomic tourism.
