European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Printmasters, a Romanian printer and promotional products manufacturer, announced the shutdown of its Cicârlău factory, resulting in about 450 job cuts. The plant will close by the end of 2027.
The closure decision results from its parent group, the Solo Group, long-term production and logistics strategy. Production in Cicârlău will be progressively reduced, with production expected to cease in May 2027. Printmasters will close completely by 31 December 2027.
Around 450 employees will be laid off, and the support measures include severance packages, outplacement assistance, and counseling, with discussions underway with employee representatives and local authorities.
