European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Pyszne.pl, the Polish subsidiary of Dutch food delivery group Just Eat Takeaway, announced the termination of its current cooperation model with around 5,000 couriers across Poland. The restructuring affects the Scoober delivery unit and will be implemented between August and September 2026.
The company cites high operating costs, the need to increase scalability, and competitive pressure as the main reasons for the restructuring. The change involves outsourcing delivery operations to external fleet partners.
OPZZ Konfederacja Pracy, a polish trade union, criticised the restructuring, raising concerns about reduced income, security and working conditions, linking the restructuring to upcoming regulatory changes regarding platform work in Poland. Trade unions have also discussed the changes with management, while public bodies responsible for labour law PIP and ZUS have launched inspections related to employment practices.
Affected couriers may apply to work for one of five external fleet partners, but employment is not guaranteed. The new model is expected to replace guaranteed hourly pay they had at Pyszne.pl.
