European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Autohero, an Austrian vehicle-retail and refurbishment company under the AUTO1 Group, has opened a new production centre in Wolkersdorf, Niederösterreich, creating up to 100 jobs.
The facility, covering approximately 17 000 square metres, is designed for industrialised vehicle restoration using digital resource planning, smart repair techniques and circular-economy processes to refurbish 18 000 cars annually. This expansion follows a strong growth trajectory, with the company selling over 100 000 vehicles across Europe in 2025.
The project underlines Autohero’s strategy to centralise high-tech, eco-friendly refurbishment services within Austria while supporting local employment growth.
