Description

Tractive, an Austrian technology company that designs GPS trackers for pets, announced around 160 job cuts at its headquarters in Pasching, Austria, after being acquired by Italian group Bending Spoons.

The move follows the sale of Tractive for several hundred million euros and aims to streamline the organization.

The layoffs are part of a broader effort by Bending Spoons to create a leaner structure that can better focus on core product development, new device generations and advanced health-tracking features. The company says it will continue supporting pet owners with cutting-edge solutions while reducing staffing levels.

All affected employees are based in Pasching and come from around 40 nationalities. They receive a severance package that exceeds industry norms.
