Description
VELKÁ PECKA, operator of the Czech online grocery retailer Rohlik.cz, announced on 3 September 2026 that it will open a new distribution and fulfilment centre in Opatovice nad Labem. The site is expected to create approximately 1,500 jobs and begin operating in November 2026. Recruitment is already under way.
The facility will combine a central distribution centre serving Rohlík’s Czech and international fulfilment network with a local fulfilment centre and food-production space. The expansion is intended to strengthen the company’s Czech supply network, increase capacity and improve delivery reliability. Positions will include warehouse and food-production workers, couriers, technicians, maintenance staff and managers.
Residents of Opatovice opposed the development in a 2023 referendum, while the municipality of Čeperka unsuccessfully challenged the project in court.
