Description
Hennig, part of the U.S. based Goellner Inc group., will create 452 new jobs at its first European factory focused on power-protection for critical infrastructure such as data centres and hospitals. The plant will be built in Figueira da Foz, Portugal (Zona Industrial do Pincho) and is expected to open by the end of 2027 with production beginning in early 2028. The company has already begun forming the teams and has leased premises in Santana where staff will be trained over the following 18 months.
Portugal, and Figueira da Foz was selected because of the region’s favourable logistical conditions, notably its proximity to key transport infrastructure. This is expected to facilitate faster and more efficient access to both European and, in the future, transatlantic markets.
Henning has around 1,500 employees across various international markets.
