European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Wolfram Europa, an Estonian defence-technology company, plans to invest up to €200 million in a new explosives and warhead-production complex in Jēkabpils Municipality, Latvia. The project is expected to create approximately 200 highly skilled jobs, strengthen Latvia’s defence-industrial capacity and improve the security of regional supply chains.
The facility will be developed in three phases on an approximately 40-hectare site south of Jēkabpils, although its precise location has not been disclosed for security reasons. Initial investment is estimated at around €50 million, with first-stage production expected to begin in the second half of 2027. Once fully operational, the vertically integrated complex will manufacture RDX, HMX and PBX explosives and assemble products such as warheads and anti-tank mines.
