Description
DEMO, a Greek pharmaceutical manufacturer, is creating at least 600 direct jobs at its new pharmaceutical production campus in the Tripoli Industrial Area, Arcadia, Peloponnese. The new industrial complex will comprise four units for the production of pharmaceutical active ingredients and four units for finished pharmaceutical products, including penicillin and oncology medicines. The Tripoli development forms part of DEMO's wider €356 million investment programme, which is scheduled for completion by 2027 and aims to increase pharmaceutical production capacity and strengthen security of supply in Greece and the EU. In April 2026, the Greek Prime Minister visited the facilities while the investment was under implementation. Recruitment for the new Tripoli plant is currently underway, with DEMO advertising full-time, on-site positions for the facility. Recent reporting refers to more than 1,000 jobs associated with the investment; the factsheet uses the more conservative company-supported figure of at least 600 direct jobs.
