Czechoslovak, a Czech defence conglomerate, announced the acquisition of the 57-hectare Gnaschwitz site in Landkreis Bautzen,from Maxam, a Spanish explosives manufacturer and ignition technology expert, which will result in the creation of up to 125 new jobs.
The company will invest €100 million to produce nitroglycerine and other energetic materials. The move follows CSG’s strategy to strengthen Europe’s munitions supply chain and support the availability of strategic energy materials. It represents a significant investment in Germany’s defence industry.
The company employs around 14,000 people worldwide.
