European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Poste Italiane, an Italian postal operator, announced the creation of 6 300 new active job policies for the biennium 2027-2028, accompanied by a structural strengthening of its workforce with 1 300 additional positions. These hiring plans will be implemented across the national territory.
The expansion is driven by Poste Italiane's strategic transformation of its private market and postal network, aiming to increase efficiency and maintain service proximity to citizens while integrating advanced digital solutions such as artificial intelligence to improve services and operational efficiency.
The agreement was reached through negotiations with sectoral trade unions, underscoring a collaborative approach to workforce planning.
