Description

BDR Thermea, a heating technology group, has opened a new manufacturing plant in Vranov nad Topľou, Slovakia. The facility will produce components for heat pump-based heating systems and will start production in July 2026.

The expansion is driven by rising demand for low-emission heating solutions and the use of digital automation tools in production.

The site currently employs about 50 staff. In the coming months, the company plans to increase this to roughly 150–200 workers, with a long-term goal of up to 750 positions. BDR Thermea will work with local schools to train new hires, including welders and soldering specialists.
