Description
Stellantis, a Franco-Italian automotive group, will launch its first battery factory in Figueruelas, Zaragoza, Spain. The joint venture with China’s CATL is set to create 4000 new jobs amongst local workers when the plant becomes operational at the end of 2026.
This expansion aims to supply one million batteries per year from 2028, supporting Stellantis’ shift toward electric vehicles and advancing a green transition in Europe. The project reflects the group’s commitment to new battery technology while generating substantial employment growth within Spain.
