European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Elogic Polska, a Danish-owned manufacturer of electrical distribution and control panels, closed its production plant in Szczecin after more than 20 years of activity. The company reported planned collective redundancies of 113 employees to the regional labour office. The plant, which had employed almost 200 people, was later placed into liquidation.
The closure followed serious financial problems linked to the bankruptcy of the Danish parent company, which cut off financing for the Polish subsidiary. Media reports describe the case as a “closure by stealth”: employees were left without clear company representatives in Poland, while more than 120 former workers were still trying to recover unpaid wages, severance payments, compensation for shortened notice periods and work certificates in 2026. Formal bankruptcy in Poland had not been declared.
