Description
Hafner, a French manufacturer specialising in fresh pastries, announced that it is closing all of its production site, in Sainte-Hélène-du-Lac (Savoie), resulting in the loss of about 168 jobs.
Workers are mobilising under the trade union, CGT, to challenge the closure and protect remaining positions. The employees are struggling to face this closure, just three months prior, it was recruiting. The company is also being supported by public funding.
Hafner employs 960 employees in eight production sites, in both France and Canada.
A prior large-scale restructuring is being recorded in the ERM database Hafner Falaise 2025 - FR.
