Description

VeloBank, a Polish universal bank, announced collective redundancies affecting up to 950 employees in Poland.

The restructuring is linked to the creation of the target organisational structure after the completed integration of Citi Handlowy’s retail banking operations. VeloBank completed the integration in June 2026, including customers, products, branches, financial assets and around 1,600 transferred Citi employees. Consultations with trade unions ended without an agreement. Affected employees are being offered severance payments, outplacement, training, psychological support and extended medical care. The announced collective redundancies will cover both employees who joined from Citi Handlowy and existing VeloBank employees. The process will end by March 2027.

Updated, 11/08/2026 In August 2026, VeloBank announced that the collective redundancies will affect close to a thousand employees, ending by March 31 2027. The bank offers generous severance packages and has concluded negotiations with trade unions without an agreement.
