European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Grupo Luz Saúde, a Portuguese healthcare Group, will open the Hospital da Luz Ribatejo in Santarém following an investment of €59 million. The new hospital will create 400 direct jobs and is expected to begin operating by the end of 2026, with services being introduced progressively during the first quarter of 2027.
The new unit will provide outpatient consultations, diagnostic and therapeutic services, surgery, inpatient care, intensive care, oncology treatment and emergency services. The hospital is expected to serve around 500,000 people in the Ribatejo region.
