Description
IKEA, a Swedish retailer specializing in furniture and home goods, has announced the creation of 515 new jobs across 15 compact stores that will open throughout Spain in 2027. Each outlet, measuring between 2,000 and 4,000 square metres, will be located on the outskirts of Spanish cities with populations over 100,000 in commercial parks and will feature a single-storey layout.
The expansion is part of IKEA's strategy to deliver affordable, scalable solutions while expanding its presence in key metropolitan areas. By offering a compact format that requires lower investment, the company aims to meet local customer demand and strengthen its market position without closing existing larger stores.
