Description

Wetteri, a Finnish automotive manufacturer, announced plans to cut 95 person-years of employment – roughly over 12 % of its approximately 760 employees – in Finland. The company will implement further role changes for 47 staff members and place up to 20 employees on short-term layoffs lasting up to 90 days. These measures are aimed at achieving €7.3 million in cost savings, mainly through reduced personnel costs, as part of a broader effort to improve profitability amid a challenging automotive market. The restructuring will commence with change negotiations that the company expects to conclude by early August 2026, after which it will detail the final scope and timing of its savings program.

Updated, 05/08/2026 Wetteri has concluded its change negotiations, resulting in 79 person‑year personnel reductions. The company's subsidiary in Lahti has been shut down and the Iisalmi site closed.
