European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Solaris Bus & Coach, a Polish manufacturer of buses and trolleybuses belonging to the CAF group, opened a new production hall in Środa Wielkopolska. The new facility, covering more than 7,000 sqm, is dedicated to the final assembly of city buses and has provided employment for nearly 300 people.
The expansion is intended to increase Solaris’ production capacity by around 500 vehicles annually and support the company’s growth in low- and zero-emission public transport. The company also announced plans for another production plant in Środa Wielkopolska, expected to become operational in 2029. Several hundred indirect jobs may also be created among local suppliers.
