Description
MAN Truck & Bus, part of the German MAN and TRATON groups, announced the creation of around 1,000 jobs at its plant in Niepołomice, in the Małopolskie region. The investment, worth more than PLN 5 billion, includes a highly automated battery production plant for electric trucks and the expansion of the existing truck production facility.
The expansion is linked to MAN’s electrification, digitalisation and production automation strategy, including future electric-truck battery production. Around 600 jobs are expected to be created in battery production and around 400 in expanded truck production operations. The project is intended to increase production capacity, strengthen European supply chains and reduce dependence on components from Asia. Recruitment for the new positions has already started, and completion is planned by 2030.
