European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Bechtel, a US engineering, construction and project management company, opened a new office in Gdańsk and announced the creation of around 220 jobs.
The office will support the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant in Choczewo and serve as a regional hub for technical expertise, construction planning and project execution. The expansion is linked to Poland’s nuclear energy programme and the development of local engineering and construction capabilities. It aims to strengthen Bechtel’s operational presence close to the project site, increase local content and support cooperation with Polish companies and regional universities. Recruitment will mainly concern engineering and project-related roles.
