Description
Safran electronics and defense, a French subsidiary of Safran, announced the creation of up to 200 new positions at its Dijon plant in France. The expansion will double the site's output by 2029 following increased European defence orders and an investment of €20 million in new facilities.
The hires will mainly be technicians in optomechanics and support staff, with recruitment starting immediately and expected to complete by the end of 2029. Currently about 480 employees work at the Dijon site, and the expansion is driven by growth in defence demands.
This is part of recruitment campaigns of Safran Group in France in 2026, that had already two hirings this year: 130 new hires in Gennevilliers (Ile de France) Safran Aircraft Engines 2026 - FR and 300 new positions in Domérat (Auvergne) Safran 2026 - FR.
