Description
Electro-Alfa International, a Romanian producer of electrical equipment and EPC services, has inaugurated the SGB-ALFA factory in Botosani (Botosani County). Production at SGB-ALFA began in July 2025, the plant currently has approximately 100 employees and has already manufactured over 1,300 transformers for customers in European markets.
The plant will add more than 200 direct jobs by 2027, building on its current workforce of roughly 100 employees. The expansion is driven by a strategic partnership with Germany’s SGB-SMIT Group to strengthen Europe’s energy infrastructure and broaden market reach for high-quality transformers.
Through this investment, Electro-Alfa International and SGB-SMIT Group are strengthening the energy infrastructure supply chain in Europe, while also boosting the competitiveness of Romania’s manufacturing sector
