Description
OpenText, a Canadian technology company specializing in data management and cybersecurity, announced an €105 million investment that will create 400 highly-skilled jobs across its Cork and Galway sites in Ireland.
The expansion will add to the firm’s growing agentic AI, cybersecurity, sovereign cloud and digital operations capabilities serving European, Middle East and African markets. The new roles will be filled over the next three years, with the investment expected to conclude by 12 June 2029.
Public authorities are involved in the project, notably IDA Ireland, which supported the investment. The move strengthens Ireland’s position as a hub for advanced AI and secure cloud services, and marks the largest investment by a Canadian-based tech firm in the country. OpenText currently employs 275 staff at its Irish sites.
