Description

Sinomatech, a Chinese company, is building a lithium-ion battery separator-film plant in Nyíregyházán, Hungary. The first phase of the development will create approximately 120 new jobs, raising the headcount to 150. The company will create 275 jobs by the end of the third quarter of 2027, after achieving operation at full capacity.

The expansion is driven by the growing demand for battery components for renewable energy and electric vehicles. The project is part of Sinomatech’s broader move into the battery materials sector. The plant will coat separator films used in batteries.
