European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Kemira, a Finnish chemical manufacturing company, announced a reduction of up to 150 roles worldwide, including at most 30 positions in Finland. The aim of the restructuring is to deliver annual savings of roughly €15 million and strengthen the company’s competitiveness.
While the Finnish workforce will see up to 30 cuts, the remaining cuts will be spread across other countries. Negotiations in Finland have begun, covering all employees in Finland excluding manufacturing.
Kemira employs approximately 4,900 staff globally, with around 800 in Finland.
