Description

Juwi, a German renewable energy company, has announced a strategic realignment that will result in 280 job cuts across its eight locations in Germany. The company has already begun the process, although no precise timetable has been disclosed.

The reductions form part of a broader cost‑saving programme. The restructuring is driven by economic change and the need to streamline operations in response to increasing competition and rising costs.

The company has agreed a social plan with the works council and aims to carry out the job cuts in a socially responsible manner. This includes a focus on voluntary measures, with compulsory redundancies intended to be avoided wherever possible, although they cannot be entirely ruled out if necessary.

Juwi employs around 1,350 people in Germany.
