European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
RegioJet, the Czech private rail tranport operator, has announced the hiring of 200 new employees as part of its expansion plan, which aims to operate electric trains on the main lines in the Ústí nad Labem Region.
The new positions include train conductors, approximately 60 stewards, and technical staff for the depot. The company will build a new depot in Ústí nad Labem, where train maintenance will be carried out.
This initiative is expected to strengthen regional connectivity and employment in the railway sector.
Updated, 26/09/2026 RegioJet announced a significant hiring wave to support the expansion of its rail services, targeting Prague, Brno, Vysočina and Ústecký kraj. The company plans to operate the R9 high‑speed line between Prague, Havlíčkův Brod, Jihlava and Brno from December 2026, creating additional crew positions for new electric units. These updates extend the original plan that focused solely on Ústecký kraj.
