Description
Perlon Group, a German group of companies active in the manufacturing of technical textiles and plastics, announced that 450 out of 510 jobs will be saved following its insolvency procedures that managed to secure a new investor. This means around 60 jobs will be lost, mainly at their production site in Bobingen, Bavaria by June 2026.
The cuts form part of a broader insolvency and restructuring process triggered by a decline in demand, as well as rising energy and labour costs.
The company has secured its future under new ownership by Wuxi Yinda Nylon, which intends to invest in modern production technology and further internationalisation.
Perlon employs around 510 people across its sites in Bobingen, Munderkingen, and Wald-Michelbach, meaning the job cuts represent a reduction of approximately 12% of its workforce.
