Description
Coop Normandie Picardie, a French retail group, announced that 182 employees are losing their jobs as its nine stores in the Eure and Seine-Maritime departments face imminent closure.
The closure is driven by it's exclusion from the Groupe U network, who claims repeated managerial shortcomings, leading to the termination of the cooperative’s relationship and the loss of 80 % of its product range and key systems. The layoffs will occur at the store level, with no explicit mention of voluntary or collective dismissals. The restructuring is expected to unfold in a single wave, with all job losses concentrated at the store sites across the two departments.
