Description
Urbasolar, an Axpo subsidiary specialising in photovoltaic solutions, is cutting 50 jobs from its total workforce of 425 in France. This was due to the changing economic and legislative context. Notably, the third French multi-energy programme had lower targets than expected. The number of public tenders has also decreased. The profitability of many projects is under threat due to significant delays in transmission and distribution networks. Additionally, high competition in the European market and low capture prices due to overproduction are limiting profitability. Management is currently negotiating the job-saving plan with social partners.
