Description

IKEA Industry Poland, a Polish subsidiary of the global IKEA group, announced collective redundancies at its furniture manufacturing plant in Lubawa.

The company plans to reduce employment by 125 jobs out of a workforce of over 1,600, mainly affecting production workers. The layoffs stem from a sharp decline in orders and increased production costs, particularly labour and energy, reflecting broader industry pressures.

The notification about layoffs was submitted to the PES in Iława, and dismissal notices are expected to be issued in the second half of June, with most contracts ending in September. The company is cooperating with the local employment office to provide support measures for displaced workers.

IKEA Industry Poland recently announced other layoffs: in Wielbark IKEA Industry Poland, and Goleniów IKEA Industry Poland.
