Description
Primaria Municipiului Deva, a Romanian public administration entity, announced the dismissal of 75 employees as part of a comprehensive restructuring aimed at cutting the municipal workforce by about 30%.
The affected posts, located within Deva’s city hall, the local police, the municipal maintenance service, and the personnel records directorate, will be terminated effective 1 July 2026. The initiative follows an internal review that identified 118 positions for elimination, of which 76 were occupied and 42 vacant.
The measure is intended to secure funding by reducing payroll expenses and is part of a broader cost-saving plan for the municipality.
