Description

Alpla, a packaging manufacturer based in Vorarlberg, Austria, announced a planned reduction of up to 155 jobs at its headquarters in Hard, affecting roughly ten percent of its approximately 1,000 employees.

The company cited a challenging economic environment and rising costs as drivers for the cuts. Alpla intends to realign the Hard site to enhance productivity, customer proximity, and competitiveness.

The reductions will be implemented through pension plans, non-replacements, and contract terminations. Negotiations for a social plan are scheduled to begin on 2 June, with the full programme expected to conclude by the end of 2026.
