Description

Schneider Electric, a French multinational, has announced the creation of around a hundred new jobs at its industrial site in Chartres-de-Bretagne, which specialises in low-voltage switchboards, following its extension. The expansion will increase the plant’s area from 8,000 m² to over 13,000 m², adding 1,470 m² of photovoltaic panels and other eco-friendly installations. The project driven by rising demand for electric equipment and a commitment to greener operations, is expected to be completed in December 2026.

The site currently employs around 190 workers. In France, Schneider Electric had a workforce of 15,131 in 2024.
