Description
Andritz Schuler, a German machine-tool manufacturer, announced the complete shutdown of its Gemmingen plant. The restructuring will eliminate roughly 200 jobs. Whilst 90 jobs will be cut, the rest of the 200 jobs will be relocated to another site.
The decision follows the end of production at Gemmingen in 2024 and the unprofitability of the remaining operations.
The company employs about 5,000 people worldwide.
Previous restructuring events were recorded in the ERM Database in September 2024 with 474 job cuts
